guess whos back, back again. Shadys back...tell mariah.

as we all know, rapper Eminem is not one to diss because he will end your career..case in point with Cannibis, Benzino, and coming soon to the list....MARIAH CAREY! i know you are all reading that as "wait what? mariah carey? the girl?!" yes. Em had a fling with Mariah, and they broke up on bad terms. now that shes with Nick Cannon, eminem has taken it upon himself to tear BOTH of them apart. but the funny thing is, SHES FIRING BACK!
this is Mariah's diss track "obsessed". there is also a remix feat. gucci mane(who is equally as awful as mariah). they portray Eminem in the video so you NEED to watch it, however the embedding is disabled so heres the link. i still dont know why eminem has a goatee in this vid tho.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hpiwPXkbVc

that was Mariah's response to the song "Bagpipes from Baghdad" on Em's latest cd Relapse. if you havent heard that song, check it out. so, never letting someone else get the last say, Eminem has released a new song today called "the warning". nbd, just a Dr. Dre produced diss track, which is amazing. if you ever get the chance, you should check out all of Em's diss tracks and freestyles. for anyone thinking Lil Wayne is the best "freestyler" out there, you will change your opinion after you hear Em.

moving on from all this beef, we have some fresh baseball footwear.

these are San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval aka Kung Fu Panda's cleats.

"PANDA TIME" hahah classic

here we have Jimmy Rollins from the Philadelphia Phillies sporting a pair of Swingman Air Remix's, which are expected to drop next month, but these are special. these have a FULL LENGTH air capsule whereas the ones for the public will only have a heel airmax sole.

jumpin off a Cliff

the Cleveland Indians have sent their ace pitcher Cliff Lee and OF Ben Francisco to the Philadelphia Phillies today for 4 minor leaguers. Basically put, the Phils made out like bandits. with Hamels and Lee (not to mention Moyer), the Phillies are now a tougher short series team to face.
Photobucket

The Toronto Blue Jays still have their ace pitcher Roy Halladay, and there seems to be no trade in sight for him. The Sox want to keep their young prospects, the Phils already got their ace, and rightfully so, noone else wants to get rid of their talent on the farm. Where will Halladay end up? I say he stays in Toronto til the end of the year then signs a gigantic contract with either the Sox or the Yanks.
Photobucket
(i used this picture because those are the BEST jerseys in baseball!)

ChiSox pitcher Mark Buerhle has been super hot as of late, throwing 54 straight batters, which is just out of this world. after throwing a perfect game, in his next start he just goes perfect through 5 2/3. no big deal. just a day in the life of Mark. Photobucket
Buerhle was on Letterman's top 10, and number 8 was the best - things that went through Mark's head during his perfect game "man, too bad im not on my own fantasy team"

now for something not relating to baseball at all...

Photobucket
Takashi Murakami has once again collabo'd with Louis Vuitton to create a plush toy. now, seeing as it is LV, you know it wont be a typical toy price tag attached to it.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
yes, that is a birth/dog tag that comes with it. pretty cool if you ask me.

the Sox are on a bit of a skid, now 3.5 games back of the Yankees in the East but we are still leading the AL wildcard by 1.5. its been a sad few days in the nation, even with Jim Rice getting his number retired and inducted into the hall.

Ah salam alaikum!

boobs, coldplay fights a squirrel, comic book movies, and more!

first off, for all those people out there claiming Derek Jeter has lost a few steps and his defense is subpar, check this out please. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090727&content_id=6094262&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
Jeter should have those doubters quieted by now, and i say this as a Red Sox fan.

Jim Rice and Rickey Henderson were both inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame this weekend. Congrats to both of those men. Henderson made it into the Hall on his 1st election year and Rice made it in on his 15th, his last year up for approval into the Hall. Rice's number 14 will also be retired at Fenway Park tonight.

check out this Supreme x Tera Patrick ad. gets my seal of approval. (btw, for those of you who dont know, Tera Patrick is a porn star)
Photobucket
Photobucket
thats one hell of a way to sell a product! Supreme continues to stay in the forefront of today's streetwear fashion, as well as one of the better ad campaigns i've ever seen.

Chris Martin vs. Squirrel....FIGHT!

the video for Coldplay's "Strawberry Swing" is amazing. its all drawn on a chalkboard and Chris Martin fights a huge squirrel. cant get any better than that!

my favorite comic book hero/movie IRONMAN is being made into a Japanese Anime movie! i cannot wait for that, although it doesnt come out til 2010. Marvel has teamed up with Madhouse, the Japanese animation studio to create this feature, and just by watching this preview has me so hyped up for it!

also, PHELPS LOST*! i put the asterisk in there because he lost to a swimmer who was wearing some type of special bodysuit that is being banned from swimming next year. supposedly the suit makes you faster in the water, which is clearly evident as the swimmer beat Phelps and broke his World Record. gotta feel bad for Phelps but then again, its in the rules that you can wear it so he technically got beaten legally.

if you havent seen the latest sportscenter, then you probably havent seen this catch - or not a catch as the umpires ruled it, although it IS a catch.

the ball bounces off the right fielder's shin, then he kicks it into the air where Delwyn Young dives and bare hands the ball! that should have been the 3rd out of the inning, but it was not ruled a catch. Young then throws the ball to 1st base where Randy Winn is tagged out, but still, that is a catch and a possible catch of the year!

well that about wraps it up, so ill leave you guys with this:

GO GIANTS!

So, the film industry has a fetish for turning nostalgic novels, comic books, and movies into modern day trash,(i.e. Hulk, ANY comic book movie, G.I. Joe, etc), but i think this one is where things get turned around. WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE! I can not wait to see this movie.

now this, this is some SERIOUS wrist-wear.
Photobucket
Photobucket
no big deal, right? just a $250,000.00 LOUIS VUITTON watch. the crystal clear face is AMAZING and the case? well the case is just out of this world. but the price tag is also out of this world. who has $250k to spend on a timepiece? cmon get real.

peep these kicks:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

they are New York Mets and New York Yankees edition Reebok kicks commemorating the last days of Shea Stadium and Yankee Stadium. even as a Sox fan i still think that stuff like this is amazing. so much history in both ball parks, and now you can relive the memories on your feet!

There is a Goyard store opening soon in London, and this is the cover for the construction of the store. PIMPIN, PIMPIN, PIMPIN!

gone getcha some (music vids for days)

one of my favorite songs, I Poke Her Face, by KiD CuDi ft. Kanye West and Common. i personally LOVE CuDi, hes been nice WAY before "day n night" so you should really check him out. his mixtapes are all available online, and for free. so, check that out.

This is Chillin' by Wale ft. Lady Gaga. NO HOMO for liking 2 songs that have Gaga hooks and samples, but still, this song is great. Wale, from DC, is one of my favorite rappers of all time. i have been a fan of him ever since i heard his song Nike Boots. since that i have researched him and now im a huge fan. this video was shot in Boston/Charlestown. the store where Wale goes through the soda machine is called Bodega, and is located in Boston. this boutique store is truly amazing and you should check it out sometime.

This is the song Run This Town by Jay-z feat Rihanna and the man, the myth, the legend, Kanye West. Rihanna kills the chorus, she did such a great job. i love her voice in it. and of course Ye just goes berzerk on his verse. is there any doubt that a Jay Hova song is gonna be a smash? is there ever any doubt that a HOV song with Ye and Rihanna is gonna be straight fire?! NEVER. great way to follow up Death of Autotune, Jay. good stuff

This is the video for Big Sean's song Getcha Some. this WILL be the jam sooner or later. it is my favorite song at the moment, yes because he is wearing Bape, BBC, Ice Cream, Louis Vuitton, True Religions, and all of my favorite brands. my new catch phrase -"Athiests turn Christian when I rock my True Relgions". Yes, i am that vain, and yes i am rich bitch.

while on the topic of fashion, you might recall the artist Zevs that i wrote about a few posts ago. he had that amazing Louis Vuitton piece with the melting Monogram in multicolor (hows that for consonance, M's for days!). well, Zevs was ARRESTED!!! he was caught in the act of tagging a wall..but this wall happened to be one that belonged to the GIORGIO ARMANI STORE! he was tagging up the wall with a melting Chanel crossed C's logo when authorities caught him. oh, the artist. such a torchered soul.
Photobucket
oh Zevs, "you got some 'splainin to do"

as you may already know, i LOVE louis vuitton. no homo. this is the coolest thing i have ever seen the LV store do. this is at the LV store on 5th ave in NYC, which is known for their extravagant window displays as well as holiday shows put on the storefront. one time i went to NYC in December and i recall the store wrapped in a big red bow as a present with the LV monogram designs falling down the building like snowflakes. it is really a sight to behold, but this, this just raises that bar to an unreachable level. i present to you, the history of the LV speedy bag!

so, from ballin, i take you to BASEballin. lol

Livestrong is my favorite campaign that nike has ever done. i love the idea of clothing and footwear supporting cancer. hopefully one day, cancer will be a thing of the past. the livestrong cause has clearly been seen by MLB players such as Russel Martin and Joe Mauer, as well as John Lester who has actually SURVIVED cancer. here are a few pics of the livestrong edition things players are wearing nowadays.
Photobucket
Martin's Livestrong batting gloves

Lester's Livestrong cleats

Lester's Livestrong glove - which i believe is being auctioned off by Nike

this is a MONSTER post, so ill let this linger for awhile. youre welcome for the MUSIC MINUTE haha peace out!

muy interesante.

today is a big day in the sporting world. so without further adieu, lets get down to business.

leading off, we have some hub-bub about the pre season all SEC team. SOMEONE (coughstevespurriercough) did not vote Tim Tebow as the starting qb for the team. all of the other coaches in their SEC press day conferences made it their point to come out and say in one way or another " i voted for tebow". personally i dont care because as good as Tebow, is.....im still all about DA U. i will give tebow this, his girlfriend (pictured above) is SUPERDOPE and has quite the large chest. giggity

the St. Louis Cardinals have picked up Oakland A's slugger Matt Holliday today. good pick up i suppose, seeing as Tony LaRussa has had a fetish for Holliday since his Rockies days. although Holliday is having a slightly-better-than-mediocre season, he will most likely only do better seeing as he will now be back to back with Pujols, aka God with a bat.

DA DIRTY BIRD Michael Vick is supposed to have only a 6 games TOPS suspension according to reports from Goodell. the thing is, WHO IS GOING TO PICK HIM UP!?! cmon dolphins, i mean, cmon owners J-Lo, Marc Anthony, and Jimmy Buffet. SIGN VICK!!!! he beats dogs, not dolphins! (da dum tsh)

those friggen Yankees are now 2.5 games up on the Sox as the boys in blue won again last night while the sox had the night off. i dont want to be on suicide watch so im not even going to get into this nonsense.

last night at Fenway was the Cape Cod League All-Star game. it was a fun night, but to me it was sub-par. prior to the game was the Home Run Derby. Connor Powers hit 3hr's as well as Cameron Rupp, who both advanced to the finals. the HR derby was won by Connor Powers, who had a WHOPPING total of 2 hr's to win it. Rupp's 1 hr was a missile, launching over the monster and onto the PIKE!given the game was rain shortened to only 5 innings, the night was very, very sub par for an ASG.

Big Ben Roethlisberger has alleged rape charges against him from some girl from a Lake Tahoe casino last July. hmm, strictly coincidental, but i was in Lake Tahoe last July for awhile....lol

and to wrap it all up, David "I Hate America" Beckham was unapologetic to the disgruntled soccer fans (lol soccer fans) after he confronted a fan to come down to field level. needless to say, that fan was thrown out of the game, and banned from further LA Galaxy games. kind of sucks to be that guy, seeing as he was most likely a "true" soccer fan.

PERFECTION!!!

Chicago White Sox Pitcher Mark Beurhle has just thrown a PERFECT GAME vs the Tampa Bay Rays. this was the 1st perfect game for the pale hoes since 1922 vs the tigers. UNBELIEVABLE. i love mark beurhle, hes one of my favorite pitchers in the game today. i am so glad he did it. he now improves to 11 and 3, with his performance today. he had 6k's in his perfect game.

to make the game better, in the 9th, TB Ray Gabe Kapler hit a shot off Mark to centerfield but the white sox CF made the best play i have ever seen in a high emotion game such as this. the amazing catch is mandatory in a perfect game/no hit bid. there ALWAYS has to be one, as shown in SF Giants' no hitter a few weeks ago. Aaron Rowand defied gravity and brought a HR back to secure the no hitter.

baseball is just so amazing. and now im off to the Cape Cod League All Star Game at Fenway. ill be back tonite with pictures of the day's events and most likely more on the perfect game.

PEACE!

ink'd up

i have an absolute love of all things tattoo. from the ever so popular ed hardy clothing line, to actually getting ink done. i have a koi fish half sleeve on my right arm, my name in a tribal pattern i drew on my back right shoulder blade, and a custom clover on my left arm. im definately getting more, so i decided to peruse the interwebs to find some. i came across some pro sports players' ink, so im going to list a few of my favorites.

first off, we got my favorite white basketball player, Chris BIRDMAN Andersen.
this guys been kicked out of the league for cocain, but then again WHO HASNT? hes got both arms covered, and the coup de grace? BIRD WINGS on the underside of his arms. u cant be fly without wings, i always say.
Photobucket
Photobucket

here is Prince Fielder with his name on his neck in Kanji. i love the Kanji idea, having characters instead of plainly spelling out words, which is why i want a kanji tat some day.
Photobucket

this is Tampa Bay's Johnny Gomes. hes got a tattoo very similar to mine, which boosts him up in my "cool players list" haha. koi fish tattoos may be cliche, but to me they symbolize alot. i have mine to inspire me. theres a legend behind koi fish, which you may find interesting. google it if you dont believe me.
Photobucket

Joel Zumaya is the ONLY person in the world that can pull off flames. sorry josh hamilton, but u just look like a bum with your flames. Zumaya throws 100mph. that is heat, which is represented by his tat.
Photobucket

those are a few of the better ones i could find, and are some cool tattoos. even if you dont like the whole body art idea, you should look deeper into people who have it instead of thinking 'wow that guy is on drugs for getting a tattoo'. there are things very meaningful to people that are now drawn on them, after all, art is expression and what better way to express yourself..than ON yourself!

2 posts in 1 night like OMG!

buzz killington...

ok, im going to start off with the cool stuff, and end on a bad note with this one...

something cool - the seattle mariners bullpen, or should i say, SPARTAAAAAAAA
Photobucket
the M's relievers have 4 of these Spartan army helmets and they proudly display them in their bullpen. they even do some crazy rituals around the helmets. its actually rather cool to see them have some motivation out there. almost as cool as the red sox bullpen band, haha.

even cooler - MIKE VICK MIGHT BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS YEAR! hes meeting with NFLPA cheif DeMaurice Smith tomorrow, then meeting with Roger Goodell to see whats the deal. i hope to God(me) that he gets picked up this season and he starts. watching this guy play was like watching a Lamborghini burn by you on the highway and weave through the traffic. he is just that electric on the field. cant wait for football to start this year....GO GIANTS!

now, for the lame part.

the yankees....aka Boston's Buzz Killington
Photobucket
the bronx bombers are now 2 games up on the sox because someone forgot to bring the bats with them when they went to Texas. with JD "nancy" drew not hitting and Jason "ay bay" Bay also sucking, the sox decided to ship out Lugo to the Cardinals and get back Chris Duncan. we also picked up Adam Laroche, which could be useful although Laroche is a career mediocre at times/sub par player at best. but, he is a lefty hitter and can possibly do stuff better than Kotsay. either way, the sox need to shape up because these 2 games....could be killers. although for all you Yanks fans out there, the SEASON SCORE IS 8-0 in favor of the RED SOX, so take that NY.

lets see if i can end this post on a good note...hmm, what is good today...
the sox lost, my team lost, the yankees won (which sucks), hmmm

OH YEAH! my Coldplay tix for August came in!
on that note, VIVA LA VIDA BITCHES!

the dirty bird

yesterday, former Atlanta Falcon legend Michael Vick was released from prison and has fulfilled his time of punishment. the question(s) that arise are these - 1. Should he be allowed to play in the NFL again? and 2. If so, WHERE?!

in my own opinion, which is 99.9% right, i say that Vick should be reinstated back to the league because after all, he only killed DOGS. Donte Stallworth killed a human and only got 30 days in jail, oh by the way Stallworth WAS DRUNK DRIVING WHEN HE KILLED THE DUDE! so, Vick should be allowed to play again, and i think he should this season.

as to where i would like to see Vick play, that brings up a few emotions. ESPN is saying that Vick would fit perfectly here in New England. they even fake commented saying "imagine this...Brady is lining up to the right of Moss..Vick takes the snap"...
as epic as that might be to you Pats fans, its also unrealistic. the Pats would not give Vick the time of day right now. they draft their athletes wisely, not out of the Judicial system. My pick as to where Vick should go, or at least be tried out with is the Miami Dolphins. already notorious with their wildcat offense, Vick can add that air and land attack that could propel the 'Phins to the top of the AFC east.

either way, Vick is back as a free man and i dig it.

the best of ASW

so, this post is all about the freshness that is All Star Weekend.

My winner of the freshest cleats for this weekend goes to....drum roll please....

JOE MAUER! with his Nike Huarache 2k10's LIVESTRONG colorway.
Photobucket

cleats like that deserve some recognition, and the cause deserves equal attention.

as you may already know, the AL beat the NL 4 to 3, adding another year to the AL dominant streak of 13 straight years. Prince Fielder won the HR Derby, and that just about wraps up the ASW.

here is a barrage of ASG and ASW pics, showcasing the dopest player exclusive cleats, batting gloves, and fielding gloves.

well, there you have it. those are the best pictures ive conjured up to show you how awesomely dope the athletes style is.

oh, and in other news, Fenway Park will be the site of January 1st's NHL game between the Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers. they will have 2 days of PUBLIC SKATE which is going to be packed, but epicly awesome. i cannot wait to go to that game/skate at Fenway.

All Star weekend, continued.

so All Star weekend is upon us, and its starting off...pretty slowly. the HR derby, which is normally awesome, is kinda slow and boring this year. of course, any derby is going to seem lackluster after last year when Josh Hamilton raped and hit 20 something in one round, but it feels like with the steroids being cracked down on, the derby which is all about those powerful juicers is a lot more lame. balls arent flying out left and right like they used to but it is still a spectacle to behold seeing as Prince Fielder and Nelson Cruz (cmon, who predicted this guy would be in it, let alone make it to the finals) crush homers. Fielder hit a homer that went 488...then followed it up with a 503ft bomb!
503ft is 1 and 1/3 football fields! crazy talent and brute strength.im glad Fielder won it, he dropped bombs like he was in Afghanistan.

the Taco Bell celebrity softball game follows the derby, and that is always a barrel of laughs. watch some crappy famous people play a meaningless game versus former MLB all stars...that just SCREAMS ratings!...not. i can say this...watching Fred Lynn hit one to Nelly just makes my life complete.

one thing about All Star weekend that catches my eye is the new custom gear the players get. everyone has a pair of new all star colored cleats, new gloves, new batting gloves, new everything. that kind of swag makes me so envious and jealous that im not a big leaguer, but damn do they have some wicked style on the field. players with some fresh style to watch for tomorrow include Albert Pujols, David Wright, Prince Fielder, Arod,Derek Jeter, and even Justin Morneau. they all have been known to sport some crazy cool kicks and accessories.

aside from baseball, has anyone seen BRUNO?! every review ive heard has either been "OMG Bruno was the funniest thing ever, he outdid Borat! ive never laughed so much!" or "OMG i left half way through because it was so offensive and out there. i cant believe it wasnt rated NC-17 this movie was so grotesque." well, i guess i will never know unless i venture out to the theaters myself, which when i do i will give the Official review haha.

oh, and no big deal, but...i announced a Little League All-Star game tonite. we had a special hand from a friend that works at Kiss108, who set up a whole PA system and DJ'd music throughout the game. I called the players as they walked up to bat, and must say, as much as i didnt want to do it, it became fun and very enjoyable. i am basically the voice of West Medford now, haha.

well thats all i got to say tonite, breathe easy world.

part deux

wow, two posts in one night! this ones gonna be about some stylish stuff tho, so it might now capture all of your attention.

Daft punk teamed up with Silly Thing to create a 1000% Kubrick. what that means if you dont know, is that the Kubrick, which is basically a Lego figure that is designed to look like a famous figure and also costs about 3 digits. its expensive grown up toys/collectibles. what DPxST came up with today is this ^^, the masks of the legendary techno group. oh, and for the price tag. no big, just $5000.

French artist Zevs has pulled a page out of Takashi Murakami's workbook and did his own thing to a Louis Vuitton logo. this is on display for a "must see" show at Art Statements Gallery in Hong Kong. Anything art and LV related is freakin amazing to me. Photobucket

These...these are crazy. these are Supra Skytops, custom for Lil Wayne. you may have seen him wear these at the BET awards. they are regular Supra Skytop skateboard shoes underneath a layer of CRYSTALS. the store CLVII made them for Weezy for his 26th birthday (note the 26 on the tongue). puts anyone else's best bday gift to shame! Photobucket

Now, the following is probably something that you will only see on MY blog because im the only one i know that actually cares about this stuff; LOOKING GOOD ON THE BASEBALL FIELD.

The Tampa Bay Rays, no longer the Devil Rays, rocked their "retro" (can you even be retro if its only a few years old?) Devil Rays jerseys. absolutely fresh to say the least. one of the best jerseys of all time.Photobucket

you probably wont find another picture this dirty. Pujols AND Wright, two of the games best and most stylish players. just take a look at Pujols' cleats and mitt. Wright has some sick cleats as well, but he changes his cleats almost once a game. he has a new pair in a new colorway for just about every series. crazy stylePhotobucket

these are basically my next pair of cleats, once they come out that is. these are the Nike Air Huarache 09. absolutely FILTHY! its got Flywire, which is the same material Nike uses to make Kobe's b-ball shoes. these are going to be HEAT once they drop. Photobucket

aight, thats all you get for tonite. bask in the freshness of what i just dropped on yall!
