All Star weekend, continued.

so All Star weekend is upon us, and its starting off...pretty slowly. the HR derby, which is normally awesome, is kinda slow and boring this year. of course, any derby is going to seem lackluster after last year when Josh Hamilton raped and hit 20 something in one round, but it feels like with the steroids being cracked down on, the derby which is all about those powerful juicers is a lot more lame. balls arent flying out left and right like they used to but it is still a spectacle to behold seeing as Prince Fielder and Nelson Cruz (cmon, who predicted this guy would be in it, let alone make it to the finals) crush homers. Fielder hit a homer that went 488...then followed it up with a 503ft bomb!
503ft is 1 and 1/3 football fields! crazy talent and brute strength.im glad Fielder won it, he dropped bombs like he was in Afghanistan.

the Taco Bell celebrity softball game follows the derby, and that is always a barrel of laughs. watch some crappy famous people play a meaningless game versus former MLB all stars...that just SCREAMS ratings!...not. i can say this...watching Fred Lynn hit one to Nelly just makes my life complete.

one thing about All Star weekend that catches my eye is the new custom gear the players get. everyone has a pair of new all star colored cleats, new gloves, new batting gloves, new everything. that kind of swag makes me so envious and jealous that im not a big leaguer, but damn do they have some wicked style on the field. players with some fresh style to watch for tomorrow include Albert Pujols, David Wright, Prince Fielder, Arod,Derek Jeter, and even Justin Morneau. they all have been known to sport some crazy cool kicks and accessories.

aside from baseball, has anyone seen BRUNO?! every review ive heard has either been "OMG Bruno was the funniest thing ever, he outdid Borat! ive never laughed so much!" or "OMG i left half way through because it was so offensive and out there. i cant believe it wasnt rated NC-17 this movie was so grotesque." well, i guess i will never know unless i venture out to the theaters myself, which when i do i will give the Official review haha.

oh, and no big deal, but...i announced a Little League All-Star game tonite. we had a special hand from a friend that works at Kiss108, who set up a whole PA system and DJ'd music throughout the game. I called the players as they walked up to bat, and must say, as much as i didnt want to do it, it became fun and very enjoyable. i am basically the voice of West Medford now, haha.

well thats all i got to say tonite, breathe easy world.
