this is what the LA Times reported:
“A reputed tagger who was paid $1,000 to be a featured ‘guest artist’ at a self-described graffiti art store was arrested at the downtown store this weekend after authorities found him carrying spray tips, which are used in tagging, officials said today.
“Jason Williams, 32, who was on probation and goes by the name REVOK, was appearing Sunday as the guest of honor at the 33rd Graffiti Art Store, said Sgt. Augie Pando of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The store was exhibiting Montana spray paint, a brand used by taggers, Pando said.
“During a later search of Williams' home, deputies found several hundred paint cans, a police badge and a fire extinguisher, Pando said. They also found a stolen detour sign and digital photos of his graffiti work on his phone.
“’He's being treated as a celebrity artist when in fact he's breaking the law,’ said Steve Whitmore, a sheriff's spokesman.
“Williams was arrested on suspicion of illegally possessing vandalism tools, a counterfeit Los Angeles Police Department badge, and receiving stolen property, the sheriff's department said.
“Sheriff's officials said Williams told them that he earns a living selling T-shirts and prints and said he was paid $1,000 to attend the art exhibit.
“He is being held on $20,000 bail.”
$20,000 bail?!?! WTF!!! Cmon Revok, get your shit together homie.
For those that dont know of Revok, here is a few of his tags:

Revok is world renown for his tags and also defacing alot of public property/billboards and such. I dont care if he's tagging a billboard, its ART!
In other graf news, this story is AMAZING. I really can't capture how awesome this story is in words, so watch this video.

Moving on from the artistic side of graffiti, in the world of sports we have some dope stories.
First off, last night in the NHL, New York Islanders goalie Dwayne Roloson stood on his head, literally, and had 58 SAVES in the game vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs. Roly the Goalie let up 3 goals, but also saved 58 out of 61 shots. that is PHENOMENAL. the fact that a team could have 61 shots is just dumb, the Islanders defense clearly didnt show up. they only have Roloson to thank for the win. The Game went tied 3-3 into overtime where the Isles scored with under a minute left to win the game 4-3.

the American League and National League MVP's were announced yesterday and today, respectively. The American League MVP went to none other than Minnesota Twins' catcher Joe Mauer. Mauer got 27 of 28 first place MVP votes. that should tell you how dominant this man is. and to top it all off, hes a CATCHER! the toughest position in baseball! Catchers are not known for their power or even average when hitting, yet Mauer is always in the running for a Triple Crown because he hits so overpoweringly well. This guy is one of my favorite players in all of sports, because he is a class act and absolutely dirty in the field.

The National League MVP went to the St. Louis Cardinals' first baseman Albert Pujols, who has now won his 2nd in a row. Pujols is one of the most feared hitters in all of baseball, and is definitely worthy of his second MVP title. what Pujols means to the Cardinals is what Michael Jordan means to Chicago. he is a "machine", which is his very fitting nickname. Pujols is the 10th player to win atleast 3 MVP titles. HES SO FREAKIN DIRTY!

While still in baseball mode, i got some new SWAG comin from Minnesota. The Twins have a new stadium to look forward to this coming season, and they figured, hey why not swag it out with some new uni's?!

These jerseys are sick. they have that old school look with that new school swag to make them in contention for the dopest uni's in baseball. the home white jersey is aesthetically pleasing with its retro "twins" font on the front accompanied by the always fashionable pinstripes. the away grey uniform is cool too, i like the Minnesota font but what i dont get is why the underline isnt connected to the A in Minnesota...its just kind of floating out there... either way both jerseys and the new hat with the TC and red brim are sweet new additions to the MLB collection.
this is one swagged out post, we got an artist doing whatever the damn hell he wants and getting arrested for it, a paralyzed graf artist using his EYES to keep him drawing, a goalie turning away 58 shots, 2 MVPs and a new set of uni's. that is some swag surfin right there.
