In Rotation - Friday Nov. 20

im going to start something new in my blog, every Friday from here on out im gonna post a blog segment called "In Rotation". this post will tell you all what songs are in rotation on my playlist, because, lets face it, my music > your music. it will probably be some new stuff, some old stuff, and even some stuff you wouldn't expect me to listen to. just in case you dont know, my typical music genres i dabble in are, but aren't limited to: hip hop, rap, techno, house, electronica, rock, modern rock, pop, and shit like that. as DJ Khaled says, " IM GOIN IN!"...

1. Make It Rain Remix - Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, R. Kelly, and a boatload of other rappers.
Mediocre song at best, but Kells "dont ask me what my name is, stupid bitch im famous" line has been stuck in my head all week.

2. Beastie Boys - No Sleep Til Brooklyn
Classic song. might be a typical white boy song, but its a song i know every lyric to. Beastie Boys are one of my all time favorites, so i am most likely listening to one of their songs.

3. David Guetta - If We Ever (ft. Makeba)
David Guetta (who you probably havent heard of, or maybe you have from his "Sexy Bitch" song with Akon) is one of my favorite DJ's of all time. this guy's music is crazy good, such great techno music. its kind of guido-ish/club soundtrack but its definitely better than most nonsense some dj's put out.

4. Clipse - Doorman
from their upcoming album "Til The Casket Drops" which comes out on my birthday, December 8th. Clipse is one of my favorite rap groups, they kick ass and are normally have tracks laced by the Neptunes/Pharrell so even if you dont like their lyrics, theres a good chance you'll love the beat.

5. Clipse - Popular Demand (Popeyes)
also from "Til The Casket Drops". dope song from the Clipse feat. Cam'ron. + Neptunes produced beat. = Success

6. M-Dot - Boston
local rapper (from Lynn, Mass!) put out a track all about the best city in the world, BOSTON. gotta love this song

7. Shinedown - Sound of Madness
shinedown is my sleeper group for when im feeling incredibly Caucasian. this is legit white boy music.

8. LMFAO ft. Kanye West - Love Lockdown
Love Lockdown is a great song, and this LMFAO remix is tight as hell. def a song to check out.

9. DJ Unk ft other people - 2 Step Remix
T-pain is in it, and i love that nappy boy. (no homo).

10. 7L and Esoteric - Really Fly
local rap group (straight outta Boston!) goes HARD in this song with a dope chorus that uses a sample of a James Taylor's "Fire and Rain". 7L and Eso are such nasty rappers, def. better than 90% of the rappers on the radio. too bad they dont get mainstream play.

11. Weezer - Tripping Down the Freeway
from Weezer's latest album "Ratitude". decent song, just catchy to me. again a very Caucasian mood song haha

12. Wale - Pretty Girls
gotta support my man Wale, from his debut album Attention Deficit. such a happy track. great to listen to. sadly, Gucci Mane is in it.

13. Lupe Fiasco - Gold Watch
one of my favorite Lu tracks, this song is such a chill song. "if you negative in energy then stay out the vicinity."

14. KiD CuDi - Dat New New
from one of his mixtapes before his debut album Man on the Moon. CuDi on his mixtapes > CuDi on his CD. i dig the CD but CuDi's mixtapes were FIRE. his cd is meh.

15.Mario - Break Up ft. Sean Garrett and Gucci Mane
fuck Gucci Mane, i dont like him, but this song is so happy and upbeat (do i need a nohomo for this song? fuck it, im secure in myself, this song kicks ass.) even tho i dont like Gucci, his verses are legit. "baby girl went AWOL, she used to be my soldier"

to wrap it up, i gotta say this. if i hear "empire state of mind", "death of autotune", or "run this town" one more motherfucking time, i am gonna pull a Nas and "roll to every station, murder the DJ" cus clearly "hip-hop is dead". New Jay-z is mediocre at best. i like Jay but his new stuff sucks. Nas is better anyways.
